Carry-on | Small musical instruments (i.e. recorders, small violins, ukulele etc.) can be accepted as cabin baggage as long they can fit in the passenger’s cabin baggage with a size of 115 cm linear maximum and weigh not more than 7 kg. |
Cabin seat | Large musical instruments (i.e. cellos, double basses, etc.) might be carried inside the cabin and will be treated as CBBG. |
Checked | Other musical instruments that are considered too large for cabin baggage (i.e.guitar, bass, cymbals, drums, etc.) can be accepted as checked baggage. Provided it complies with the size and weight limitation per aircraft type. Special handling applies for the carriage of musical instruments in the cargo compartment. Musical instruments are calculated in the passenger’s free baggage allowance. Passengers are required to pay excess baggage charges if the musical instrument exceeds their own free baggage allowance. |
