Small musi­cal instru­ments (i.e. recorders, small vio­lins, ukulele etc.) can be accept­ed as cab­in bag­gage as long they can fit in the passenger’s cab­in bag­gage with a size of 115 cm lin­ear max­i­mum and weigh not more than 7 kg.

Large musi­cal instru­ments (i.e. cel­los, dou­ble bass­es, etc.) might be car­ried inside the cab­in and will be treat­ed as CBBG.

Checked

Other musi­cal instru­ments that are con­sid­ered too large for cab­in bag­gage (i.e.guitar, bass, cym­bals, drums, etc.) can be accept­ed as checked bag­gage. Provided it com­plies with the size and weight lim­i­ta­tion per air­craft type. Special han­dling applies for the car­riage of musi­cal instru­ments in the car­go compartment.

Musical instru­ments are cal­cu­lat­ed in the passenger’s free bag­gage allowance. Passengers are required to pay excess bag­gage charges if the musi­cal instru­ment exceeds their own free bag­gage allowance.
