Carry-on

We welcome passengers to travel with their musical instruments. We advise it kept inside a sturdy round-edged hard case which can protect the musical instruments from impact. Depending on the size of your instrument, you may need to check in.

Musical instruments in soft cases will not be accepted, and we will not provide hard cases.

You can bring small musical instruments (like flutes or violins) onto the plane as part of your cabin baggage allowance. Please ensure they’re stored in a hard case and can be safely stowed inside the overhead locker. If there is no stowage space or it exceeds the dimensions limitation, the instrument will have to be checked in and considered as checked baggage.

1. Dimensions must not exceed 76 x 25 x 13cm or 30 x 10 x 5 inches (height x width x depth) including the case.

2. Weight must not exceed 7kg (15 lbs) including the case.

Cabin seat

(FR) You can store larger musical instruments (like a guitar or a cello) on a purchased seat if you do not want to check them in and passenger must store the instrument in a hard case.

Due to temperature variation, expansion and contraction of the neck of string instruments may occur. We advise passengers to loosen their strings before travel to prevent any strain or damage.

The above-mentioned baggage items are accepted in the cabin only when passengers have obtained our permission after giving us prior notice with actual size and weight of the baggage.

Size and weight limits of baggage at an extra seat:

  1. Musical instrument, including the hard case, should be of size not more than 203 cm or 80 inches (Length + Width + Height)
  2. Weight must not exceed 35kg (70 lbs) including the case.

If you would like to purchase an extra seat for your musical instrument, please contact us to make your booking. Please do not reserve online, as there is currently no provision to purchase an extra seat for musical instruments.

You must make your booking at least 3 working days prior to the scheduled departure date, to allow us to make the consideration of sufficient notice period for special arrangement

Checked

Large musical instruments, like a guitar or cello, which exceed the above dimension limits or the cabin baggage allowance, must be checked in. Please be aware that weight and dimension restrictions for checked baggage apply (including the hard case of the instrument).
