If your instru­ment does not exceed 30×120×38 cm (i.e. the size of a stan­dard gui­tar), you can take it on board as your cab­in bag­gage allowance with your per­son­al accessory.

If there is no avail­able space onboard, it will be removed and placed in the hold.

For flights oper­at­ed by Iberia Regional Air Nostrum or Vueling (IB8XXX and IB5XXX), the spe­cif­ic reg­u­la­tions of those air­lines apply.

If you want to pur­chase an extra seat for your musi­cal instru­ment, please con­tact our Booking Centre to find out the max­i­mum dimen­sions allowed for your par­tic­u­lar flight and to con­firm whether or not the extra seat is available.

The max­i­mum dimen­sions per­mit­ted for checked musi­cal instru­ments, ampli­fiers and sound equip­ment are 190×75×65 cm, with a max­i­mum weight of 23 kg. If they exceed these dimensions/​weight, they will be treat­ed as bulky luggage.
