Business/​Premium Economy Class: The total weight of carry-​on bag­gage must not exceed 18kg. Including 02 pieces (no more than 10kg each) and 1 acces­so­ry. Economy Class: The total weight of carry-​on bag­gage must not exceed 12kg. Including 01 piece (no more than 10kg) and 1 acces­so­ry. In which, the max­i­mum three-​dimension length (length, width, height) of bag­gage should follow:

• For 01 piece of bag­gage: 56cm x 36cm x 23cm < 115cm
• For 1 acces­so­ry: 40cm x 30cm x 15cm < 85cm

Carry-​on bag­gage exceed­ing the quan­ti­ty, weight and size reg­u­la­tions will be required to check-​in. On some flights, large carry-​on bag­gage, despite meet­ing the stan­dard of size and weight, may still be required to check in (free of charge) due to the lim­i­ta­tion of the air­craft’s capacity.

Vietnam Airlines offers the addi­tion­al seat ser­vice for bag­gage onboard the air­craft. For frag­ile, bulky, or valu­able items such as musi­cal instru­ments, paint­ings, and antiq­ui­ties, etc, pas­sen­gers may reserve seat(s) beside them to secure their belong­ings dur­ing flight.

Reservation
Passengers wish­ing to pur­chase an addi­tion­al seat(s) to stow belong­ings should con­tact Vietnam Airlines branch offices for advanced reser­va­tions. It is required to make the ser­vice request at least 24 hours before depar­ture time.

Packaging
Cabin bag­gage must be secure­ly pack­aged to ensure there are no sharp edges or oth­er char­ac­ter­is­tics that might dam­age or punc­ture the seats, inte­ri­or walls, oth­er areas in the air­craft, or that could pose a risk to pas­sen­gers dur­ing flight.

Weight
The cab­in bag­gage weight must not exceed 75 kg per seat, and the pres­sure on the seat must not exceed 0.046 kg/​cm2 (75 kg 40cm x 40cm total area).

At the airport
Passengers are required to be present at the air­port ear­ly enough to com­plete all pro­ce­dures before flight. Vietnam Airlines rec­om­mends pas­sen­gers to arrive at least two hours pri­or to their sched­uled depar­ture time.

On flight
Passengers are respon­si­ble for han­dling their lug­gage onboard the air­craft as well as dur­ing arrival and depar­ture from the airport.
